What that dude says about container size is true. It can make a big difference, but what is difference in those cans? Does the heavier can have more tuna or more water? One ounce of water is about a tablespoon. It could easily be water that makes the heavier can heavy. If the heavier can us also cheaper then it might make sense to favor the store brand. But if the price is the same, or if the lighter can, the national brand, is cheaper, then it might make sense to buy the national brand.
Also, in my experience, the national brand tuna, especially the cans of chink white, are far better quality than store brands.
This guy is obviously on the show to promote his product. He has to be tugged kicking and screaming back to the topic of shrinkage (theft).

That package size gimmick is definitely a big thing. I’ve seen it already in so many products. And I’ve seen reductions happening every couple of months on the same products. Do they think we don’t notice?

If you think inflation is "better" go try to buy something to PRODUCE durable goods with, like Steel, Aluminum, Lumber, welding supplies, heavy equipment to move dirt with, a Farm Tractor and so on. A heavy duty Pick-up truck is over $100,000 drive out price. Go and try to buy some LAND!! Rural Land what was $1,500 not long ago is now $15,000 to $20,000 per acre now. Man, none of this is good. Things are going to get a lot worse soon. And then the Political Calamity unfolding right before our eyes. If you think Inflation is BETTER, wait until the get a two front WAR going. Seems they are trying HARD to get that done..
