BREAKING NEWS: Steaming pile of MAGA rejected for speaker!
In comments made on the capitol steps, Gaetz has shown he does not like free votes by secret ballot. It means Republican members can vote their preference without fear of getting threats to their families. The extent of the fear was clearly demonstrated by the wide gulf between how they voted on the floor of the House and how they voted in the caucus just two hours later. Fear tactics are a foundation of MAGA strategy and they don't like it when fear is not a factor in where Republicans throw their support.

Thank GOD Jim Jordan will not be the next speaker. I applaud the Republicans for standing up to the extremist people in the government that are not serious about governing. People like Matt Gaetz and Jim Jordan are a joke. They are not serious people in our government. In fact, they are trying to tear our government down. Jordan is stalling and wasting time. The end of the 45 days is up they haven't prepared anything in regard to the , there's no speaker of the house, and as usual the house is in total chaos because of them.
There should be a limit to the number of times a person can apply for speaker of the house. 3x should be the maximum, and they should have a guarantee of a very large amount a votes before they open the vote on the floor, to prevent this kind of wasted time.

In a roll call vote 194 Republicans voted for Jordan to be the Speaker. In a subsequent secret ballot held in caucus, 87 of those changed their vote against him. The reason? Fear of violet threats against themselves and their families. This is what the Republican Party has come to.
