This, is a microcosm of our entire political system as a whole. There are two sides and they have radically different idea of where they want us to go. What we end up with is two different sides who are stubborn and won't accept a moderate who may represent both sides.
This applies to the demo vs republican debate. Both sides have become radicalized and neither side will reject the radicals to support the moderate.
