So McCarthy was fired for passing a CR, but the same people are okay with Johnson passing the same CR? This whole thing is ridiculous. Even if republicans manage to pass their individual bills, the senate is going to send them all back as bipartisan bills that the president will sign, and the House republicans are either going to have to pass them or shut the government down, the same position that they’re in now. The bottom line is that republicans have yet to realize for some reason that they can’t make the senate or the president sign onto something that they oppose by shutting down the government.
