It's beginning to look like George Santos will be the ultimate compromise candidate. He is admired throughout the GOP Conference for his honesty and integrity. He will make a great GOP Speaker.
I don't understand why they still blame "the eight." Have they been asleep at the wheel since January? 1) Meanwhile, we had Jim Jordan running for speaker who was rejected by "the twenty something," none of which was one of "the eight;" 2) McCarthy agreed in January to the single-vote motion to vacate in order to become speaker, so that's where your root cause is. He thought he could and only realized he couldn't when the Sword of Damocles came crashing down.
