A suspect has been arrested after a shooting during Halloween weekend celebrations in Tampa, Florida, police announced on Sunday. Two people were killed and 16 others were injured in the incident. NBC News’ Guad Venegas reports.

Its sad that holidays now = gun violence and mass shootings. My mother said to me "did you hear about the shootings over Halloween weekend?" and I said "No but Im not surprised" and didnt even feel shocked or horrified, its just numb now. Numb to how normal this is and how its almost expected to the point you are not even bothered (in a way) by it happening and have no major emotions to it. Its just become reality…

My condolences to the families 😢😢. My daughter was supposed to attend a Halloween party in Miami this week with her friends. But for some reason, I had an unsettling feeling for a few days not to let her go. So I told her to cancel it and she did. Parents if you get that gut feeling about your child, take heed to it.
