Did you not understand that Hamas knew when they murdered over a thousand unarmed civilians that this would be the reaction and would use it for propaganda purposes ? Several times the Palestinians were offered their own state and each time they refused it probably due to the fact that if a leader did accept peace, he would soon be assassinated. Remember that 20% of Israelis are Arabs and that they have more personal rights and freedoms than the people that live in Arab countries. Did you also forget that Palestinians tried to take over Jordan in 1970 or that they helped to start a civil war in Lebanon after they left Jordan ? Ask yourself why all Arab countries, except Jordan, refuse to give citizenship to the Palestinians and forced them to live in refugee camps for over seventy years.
