An actor can play a woman or man. Maybe the student wanted to play only one role model.
And it’s totally fine because kids like that don’t have rights. Now lets see Hollywood and stars who promote it step up and do something super special for this kid. Because its great to support something when you live life as a gawdam millionaire but there are real lgbt folks and trans kids who dont have that they’re on the frontlines facing this crap.

She should have been allowed to keep the part. Theaters swap sexes all the time.
Who cares about the play? The real issue here is this guy calls himself a father when he lets his daughter pretend to be a boy off stage. That's failed parenting.
He might get the lead if they were doing Peter Pan.
This is a high school theater. People cross cast all the time simply because there were more girls than boys in the theater department. Yet no reaction by the school until someone different takes a lead? If the class was all girls no one would bat an eye if a girl has to play a male role.
Conservatives should just mind their own business.
