Good luck with the Guatemala authorities. Everything in that country moves very slow, and they do not have the resources we have in the U.S, at this point the chances of finding her are very slim to nothing. Lake Atitlan is a very dangerous lake, this lake has under water currents that strong, it is surrounded by 2 volcanoes. Locals respect the lake, as many people have died in this lake.

Not receiving closure for a family member’s death or disappearance has to be one of the worst pains ever.
I've lived on Lake Atitlán for over a decade. I'm a guide and paddle boarder. People drown in this Lake every month. It's very dangerous. Very foolish if that testimony is true. No one should ever go that far from shore without a guide.

This is most certainly a homicide and the tour group and especially the person who went out her on the water are complicit, especially since they refused to seek help for 24 hours after seeing her drown in the water!!!!! WTF
