  1. Besides all the salary and behavior issues, I want to point it out. They made it so hard for someone wants to teach. For example, if someone has a master degree, he/she can teach at college level, but not public schools. It requires you to go back school to get the teacher certification. The system is so mess up.

  2. the issue really is, who you are. a genocidal, psychopath, who for 450 years makes stuff up, and manipulates daily life, and others all across the world. and the daily personality of you are, of that. all the celebrating, any thing you do, all the things you practice, believe, live, say, are continuously of it. it will as you could see it now, start to develop very serious issues. you really havent done much to change. the same mentality as when you actively committed genocide, same as when you tortured people to death, same as you continue to torture them, and your country and; those about it, not you. are likely a million times worse. as the vets of the vietnam war finally have their answer as well.

  3. If you're thinking of going into teaching because it's a "calling" or it's a "noble profession", you need to check your caller ID.

  4. I feel bad for the students in Texas. However, Texas previous and current procedures, systems, payment and fees are ridiculous, that was the reason I moved from Texas to Washington State, and I'm glad I did.

  5. I hope some of these teachers move to blue states where they will have academic freedom, better pay and retirement and better benefits not to mention peace of mind.

  6. You couldn’t pay me enough to even consider teaching. That job sucks.

  7. This narrative that the students are "your kids" is routinely used to gaslight and hold teachers emotionally hostage to toxic workplace environments. This intimacy leads to cases of inappropriate relationships between students and teachers, and it furthermore compromises their academic objectivity. Stop pushing this harmful narrative! It's not all roses and sunshine. It's hurting teachers AND kids!

  8. A full-time profession that requires a degree should not pay so low that you need a spouse's pay to make it. It's a profession, the pay shouldn't just be supplemental, but whole within itself.

  9. I recently met someone who was a former educator in Texas who left for Chicago because of Christian extremist parents threatening her life. She got death threats, and constant calls from CPS over child abuse. Why? Because she had a pride flag in her front yard and had a transgender child. She now teaches in Chicago for less money, but is more safe now.

  10. How come they don’t teach American Sign Language to kids and they don’t partner normal kids with special ed kids

  11. How come in schools they don’t teach kids how to be a hairstylist or barber or make up artist, fashion, designer, or even a graphic designer

  12. I don’t have the mentality to be a teacher

  13. You have to be insane to become a teacher. Low pay, rude and violent kids and parents, oh yeah you might get shot/killed in a school shooting, etc. it’s not a respected profession. if you’re qualified enough to become a teacher then you’re qualified enough to have a much better job with much better conditions and pay.

  14. It’s truly a bad sign of current events when teachers leave teaching, they’ve put up with a lot! Shame on America for not paying teachers! This is what happens when a society doesn’t value education.

  15. Teaching shortages are a problem everywhere but the south is going to have an especially hard time with all their nutty rules and witch hunts about LGBT/Black/Muslim/Anything but straight and white teachers. Who in their right mind would EVER teach in Texas or Florida?

  16. It's crazy with the outrageous amounts of Taxes we pay in Texas that they can't pay teachers a living wage, but have no problem paying superintendents 200k salary.

  17. Sooo funny, you Americans have no education at all. No, it’s not normal to teach kids how to avoid bullets. You’re supposed to be teaching history or WORLDS GEOGRAPHY, start by looking how wrong your society is.

  18. Teaching is a nobel profession in the world.I think it.

  19. LBJ started as a Texas school teacher and somehow managed to parlay that into millions while serving in government.

  20. One of my friends took a lower paying teaching job at a Catholic school. But she said it was worth it because the school doesn't tolerate behavior issues and there is more support across the board. Class sizes are also smaller. I don't know why anyone would want to teach at modern public school. They are basically tax funded daycares.

  21. Teachers afraid their students, parents, politicians, they don't pay them enough.
