If plan A doesnt work after say 5-6 overs we will goto plan B and start firing bouncers or will pack off side field and start bowling wide out side off stump…..if ganguly had such plans than surely he could have stopped ponting, all the chances that ponting would have commite a mistake….planc bring 6 fielders in and ask him to go over the top if he has guts….if you will see 2011 wc final you will see that there was no plans from ganguly once plan A failed…..i think this is where rohit is street smart cricketer and have other plans if desired plan doesn't work for 4-5 overs….what he did in semifinal against NZ, he saw that siraj isnt having impact so he straight away brought shami….dont be surprised if he repeat the same in the final or he may straight away start with shami and bumrah two of the best bowlers and as first change you may see kuldeep and than siraj or will give bowl to siraj after 7-8 overs in the powerplay.

Completely Disagree with kumble. It was a idiotic decision by ganguly & kohli to ask aus & pak to bat first which cost india dearly in that 2003 wc & 2017 ct final. In knockout, ground rule is you win toss you always bat first unless you have have powerful attack like 70's & 80's wi, 90's & 2000's aus bowling attack which can restrict team below 200-250. Apart from menacing zaheer, srinath, nehra was below par & their speed, pace was absolutely no match to bichel-brett lee- mcgrath & india's bowling gave full freedom for aus batsmen to play comfortably with no trouble. That's where Rohit team stands above 2003 team having advantage with bumrah, siraj, shami who can send shivers to any batsmen in the world.
I can't forget that world cup final. I still can't forgive Sachin for playing that rash shot. As usual Sachin choked in that important match. That pitch was a batting paradise and very small boundary. If Indian batsmen tried to play without thinking about target India could've scored the winning run in 45th over itself. Idiotic and senseless batting by Indian players that day. Only Sehwag played in his regular style. Other batsmen failed to do their usual job.

India was 232 all out in 32 overs ..sehwag was the torch bearer and mind it 18 overs were left to reach 360 that day way back in 2003 final against oz
