This isn't news. This is routine. Every year they feed us the same B.S. THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A FEDERAL BUDGET. The government stopped calling it that since 1997. What we have are "Continuing Resolutions", where the only thing "Resolved" is the federal government will spend more than it takes in, causing "Deficits". The sum of these annual deficits is called Our "National Debt", now $33 Trillion and climbing. Every year the alarm bells go off about reaching the "Debt Ceiling". THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A "DEBT CEILING". Every time the so-called "Debt Ceiling is approached, it is arbitrarily increased. WAKE UP TAXPAYERS, THERE IS NO FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY IN CONGRESS.
The only reason the Government passed their funding bill was to NOT interfere with their winter recess that begins next week. Neither the president, Harris their puppet master Obama nor any politician in the House or Senate care about the country and properly funding a bill that would cut their spending and benefit the country and the legal American citizens. All these political leaders only care about themselves, their agendas and becoming millionaires with out tax dollars. If our political leaders really cared about properly funding and creating a balanced budget they would start with cutting their salaries by 75% their staff salaries by 75%, put themselves an their staff on Affordable Healthcare, cut their office spending, pay their own travel expenses, eliminate their pension plan and most of all eliminate their political pork wasteful spending. ALL cuts begin in Washington with the president, vice president, all political leaders and their staff where all the countries wasteful spending is before cutting or eliminating any that benefits the legal American taxpayers like Social Security and medicare/medicaid .
how do then you explain recent 14Bln aid to middle eastern ally, if government is about to shutdown due to funding? So Zalenski turned out to be lesser of a jew than bibi?
If Republicans want to set policy, why don’t they try winning elections?
The American public has made it clear they don’t want radical MAGA weirdos setting policy. Even when Republicans had all the winds in their sails, what should have been a red wave turned to a tenuous house majority and democrats keeping the house.
If they want to dictate policy they need to try to win the executive and senate. I’m curious of even with all polls giving trump a lead (still within margin of error) if come next year frustrated democrats and independents realize not voting or voting for a different candidate helps trump. The Democrat establishment needs to shown they can’t take voters for granted and run a candidate no one wants. But I wonder if 2024 is the year to gamble on that with trump admitting his administration would be one of vengeance and retribution.
