A group of Formula One fans filed a class-action lawsuit against Las Vegas Grand Prix after being forced to the leave the F1 venue early before the start of the second practice session. NBC News’ Danny Cevallos breaks down the theory behind the lawsuit and whether the fans have any standing.

Damage on the track caused practice be delayed. By the time the practice was able to start again the organizers didn’t have enough employees left to have monitor the stands so the fans were told to leave and practice resumed with no fans.
The attorney that filed this lawsuit is a local d bag ambulance chaser…He is looking for a fast settlement, the ticket holders will be lucky to get a $6.50 check if the case settles.
The attorney also knows he will play to the heart strings of the victim mentality of the anti F1 crowd.

I assume the damages they are seeking is the cost of the tickets, cuz they were astronomical!
At least, the race in Sunday, is not bad, but the case on Thursday night (at Las Vegas local time) is more exciting!

i hope they sue the crap out of F1. they need to be taught a lesson and i hope they get their moneys worth. They should have quickly said they will refund your ticket prices but they were greedy and petty.
Get your facts straight. We paid for an event, we were told it would not happen and were forced to leave, then they held the event anyway after we left! I had to watch on TV from my hotel room the event that I paid to see in person.

This is such horrible reporting. No mention of why the first practice session was stopped and that the repairs continued into the time frame where the 2nd practice was supposed to start. No mention as to why the spectators were forced out.
..and rightfully so. Liberty/FOM/FIA treated them terrible.

This one lawyer has his opinion about the lawsuit. The reality is that if the jury is comprised of local citizens, they have a 95% chance of winning the case. There is little sympathy for F1 among the locals and they were the ones kicked out of the stands.
The fans identify as F1 cars and clearly this discriminated against their right to assembly LBF1WD40 rights matter
