The FBI is investigating a vehicle that crashed into a checkpoint structure and exploded at the Rainbow Bridge near Niagara Falls. Officials say there were two casualties involving the occupants of the vehicle.

It sounds like they were intentionally trying to crash into a border checkpoint. They swerved around a car at the last second, or it would have been a direct crash with the checkpoint at like 120 mph.

NBC That is a blatant lie. Even the governor of NY said the car came from the US side. It was not a Canadian, it was 2 US citizens. That is not a piece of information you want to get wrong. That could stir even more trouble. Shame on you for lazy reporting.
From the eyewitness statement I saw earlier , this sounds like a medical emergency effecting driver . Heart Attack is my first thought . Actually this is common in these types of accidents in trucking industry.
