Based on the depth of the tunnel from the video, it would probably be part of the original tunnel system built when the complex was built. Such tunnels are common at complexes like hospitals, universities, … . Even Disneyland has an underground tunnel system, used for maintenance and by Disney character cast members. The tunnel in the video didn't have a ladder and it appears that an explosion created the crater that gave a view of the tunnel. Some media falsely reported that the MRI machine with the box of weapons stashed behind it was in an MRI operational area of the hospital, but any ferrous metal objects such as weapons would get sucked into the magnetic field of an operating MRI and damage it (if there were grenades, they might explode from the collisions). There's a video of a small wrench tethered via a strap to a tension scale, reading 280 lbs of force on the wrench, near the opening and 500 lbs of force when it is drawn into contact with the outside of the core of a university lab MRI that was retired from hospital use.
