Lead is found in soil and contaminates crops when it is in high enough concentrations. I would imagine it is an FDA standard for companies to ensure they quality control test the levels in the soil of their crops and in the fruit. They probably fudged some results to make a profit.

these pouches gave lots of sugar…..just break or chop up a piece of fruit into small pieces…..If at the store they can have a whole strawberry or you can peel a break a banana with you hands…..Mandarins can be broken up too…..Just be careful of melons because I know of a toddler who died from a melon piece getting stuck in his throat…..these must be small pieces.

Why do you need fruit in pouches anyway? How hard is it to get an apple or pears, wash and peel it, and steam and then blend it up? Like these things are safer and cleaner to do at home, and far better for the environment. They can be placed in the frigde or frozen too.
