  1. This is a Chicago Med episode all over again 😮

  2. Why is this still happening? You would think after reports of this happening to other hospitals all unaffected hospitals would take actions to ensure it doesn't happen to them. Are here we are.

  3. i.e. We spend so much money on admin, but nothing on IT or systems upgrades, that when they one guy who holds this Frankestein together goes on vacation, some teenagers are able to bring the system down in 4 states.
People worry about Single Payer… But this is the result of Free Market, where profit, not health, is the concern. Net Income of 1/2 Billion on revenue of 4 Billion, may help to explain the lack of cyber security. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ventas_(company)

  4. Cybersecurity professionals should be thanked more for having to deal with this.

  5. Stop being cheap with your IT departments.

  6. Like hack the student loans or something. Why hospitals, schools, and hotels? Use those hacking powers for good

  7. Bet all the patient information is stolen.

  8. Why go after hospitals and Healthcare and not governments and Banks 🤔doesn't make sense🤔

  9. Billions in ransom? People make a better living doing crime Than working…. Corruption is at an all time hi. With Criminals policing criminals it's NOT going to get any better. Government wants a two tier society. ALOT of Crazy evil in this world.

  10. Everyone needs to take some accountability. While I find the act of targeting healthcare systems to be despicable, people do not take this stuff seriously and that’s why it will continue to happen.

I work in security so maybe this stuff is basics to me, but everyone should be aware of the following:
    social engineering tactics
Use pass phrases instead of passwords
If you expect your credentials are compromised then change them!!!
If you can access your system from the public internet, then so can anybody else
Lastly, learn about defense in depth practices. Nothing is a one stop solution. You need multiple layers of protection in this landscape.

  11. The Russians are going to help some customers of these "hospitals" make some easy money!

  12. Time to rethink the convenience of having patient records only accessible via internet connected pipelines? Maybe we need to continue to keep physical (ie: paper) records to thwart 'state sanctioned' hackers and thieves. 🤷‍♀️

  13. it's crazy that this is happening right after trump got arrested…is this him retaliating

  14. STOP PUTTING RECORDS ONLINE? SMH! COMMONSENSE!!! JUST USE INTERNAL IT FOR EACH FACILITY!!!

  15. I say if a hacker goes after a hospital the military needs to get involved. Cause attacking hospitals and life is a deceleration of war.

  16. If emergency rooms are refusing patients then this hack is a terroristic attack. People could/may have died behind this. Federal government?!?! Where you at?!?!

  17. Remember “globalization and diversity is our strength!”

  18. So were pretending this isnt china its just unknown hackers? Keeping shopping temu and aliexpress people. Hello

  19. Remember Biden is taking care of this country😂 😂😂😂😂😂

  20. Crash dummies going against other crash dummies war of the tech junkies 🤔

  21. Such A Tragedy 😢 Please Pray For Peace 🙏🏻🌎🙏🏻🌎🙏🏻🌎🙏🏻🥹

  22. Theres only one group globally that attacks hospitals

  23. This is one reason why we need to Re consider going forward with any kind of A. I system.

  24. I hope they find a way to hold the hospitals accountable for negligence not just the hackers, they don’t use any REAL paper documentation anymore? It’s only on the computer? They should at least have paper documents as a back up, hospitals in America are so corrupt nowadays.

  25. This is why medical information should remain on paper.

  26. With all these amazing things they can do but they can't find hackers that murder people like this?

  27. What comes around goes around, JT sings!
