Only the criminals care about the cameras everyone doesnt matter.
Mass Surveillance is a slippery slope. Yes, the guy was caught, which is undoubtedly a great thing, but absolute power corrupts absolutely. What is to keep any LEO or city worker from using this technology for nefarious purposes, or someone who is disgruntled plans something horrific. Or just run of mill stalking which is abhorrent enough. You don't need mass surveillance to catch a killer, you just need competent detectives.
Police let the killer carry on buisness as usual..he's probably killed dozen law enforcement knew all about him long before his latest 4
