Neorodivergent kids and adults suffer from abuse at staggering levels. Throw that pos in to federal prison for his abuse of this and im sure other neurodivergent kids. He uses his badge as an excuse to hurt people. Im proud of the dad for keepng his cool. I would not have been able to.

Well, somebody at that school sure edited out some damning footage.
A lot of evidence missing, but one thing is for sure: The SRO either was not properly trained or forgot his training when talking to the child while restrained. He sounded like he was getting back at the kid. That's already a bad sign.
Another bad sign is the missing video footage from the SRO's camera, but there should be videos from the school's security cameras 🙂
The father kept his cool, trying to understand what happened. Does the child perhaps have a history of violent outbursts? Too many unanswered questions and voids to figure this out. Let the truth come out in court.
The question is, why does America have and need resource officers? What is that?

I don’t understand why police officers are not trained in how to safely restrain people when special education teachers are. You don’t put anyone on the ground face down and once a person is in a hold, you don’t talk to them…. Obviously wasn’t following the child’s or school behavior protocol.
That’s a military family too. I would ask to be based somewhere else. That area is not very diverse. It was sheer racism. They need to lock him up.

I commend the father for calmly confronting the officer. I believe that took tremendous restraint, but is a lot more effective, even if he gave a smart answer back. The question was appropriate, someday he will understand. You, the father, are a good mentor.

All that was accomplished was instilling a lifetime of fear,mistrust,and hatred of police.
And no matter what you do to fix it,this moment will always be there.

He could have handled this in a manner that would have won him respect.

And expressed by physical punishment resulting in injury..by an adult person 5 times the size of the child.
Missing footage clearly implies everything this was for that child.

I see the kid with disfigured hand and some kids are cruel and I'm sure he was being targeted! Therefore he possibly blew off some steam but not for a grown azz dude to be holding him down! That's a move to impress the second grade teacher, when she really likes the 5th graders…
