With Christmas on the horizon, tree farmers are gearing up for business all over the United States. There are DIY Christmas tree kits, farms and even parts of the country that let you chop down your own, like in Colorado’s White River National Forest.

Cutting trees in National Forests isn't a "new" thing in Colorado. You just need a permit. I cut down my first tree in 1982 in Roosevelt National Forest. It lasted so long I decorated it for Valentine's Day and Easter!

It makes me so happy to see the trees from the Pacific Northwest being sold on the city streets of NYC. 😍I love noble fir trees and feel so fortunate to be able to buy one from my local tree farm each year.
