We all already know that the SCOTUS will be paid 'extremely' well to protect Big Pharmaceuticals – Not the people. They're taking away our rights to protect their corporate cronies and special interest groups. Just think about every company having legal immunity from damages by their products to consumers. Pharmaceutical companies will keep getting away with illegal drug sales w/o any accountability for the affliction and the deaths they caused.
So every drug comes with directions and instructions. I've take pills for many different things…. But I wasn't a drug addict nor abused it so I'm not dead. Any drug that is not used as directed can lead to death. Everything is addictive including food. It's crazy to think people are that dumb.
TELL THE WHOLE STORY!!!!! 93 % of money goes to gov and insurance companies and is paid over 18 years!!!! Victims get bubkes. IT IS IRRESPONSIBLE to state most victims approved the bankruptcy because it is NOT true Many yes, votes were manipulated:
1. When filling out the initial claim against Purdue, victims were required to quantify their financial loss. My lost wages alone are over $2M. I sent in a claim, never expecting a penny. After all they had been paying political prostitutes for 20 years and would find a way to buy their way out.
2. Nine months later, i received a ballot requesting my Approval or lack thereof of the bankruptcy plan. Having read, written and negotiated complex real estate contracts for decades I realized immediately the ballot was intentionally difficult to understand and extremely deceptive. I called 5 attorneys, some national, some local, none of whom would represent me.
3. I then called the only number provided to victims, the Prime Clerk. Again. I am an educated woman and I thought the prime clerk was a neutral party who worked for the courts. I was told if I didn't vote yes, I would never see any money. I hung up convinced that was the best thing to do. However, I then studied the ballot further and realized that my yes vote would give the sackler civil immunitty and they would walk with 11 billion dollars. I was furious and did not understand why that was not explained to me by the Prime Clerk, the only contact I had at my disposal.
3. I then learned the prime clerk worked indirectly for purdue Pharma and was not to advise me. My civil rights were violated and i sent an affidavit to the US trustees swearing that the prime clerk was illegally encouraging yes votes. My affidavit was ignored.
4. "Coincidentally", just after victims received the Ballots and were deciding their vote, the major news outlets all began reporting half of the story. "Purdue Pharma is to pay 4.2 billion dollars to begin healing the opioid crisis," They forgot to mention 93% of the money goes to the government and insurance companies, and is paid over 18 years. Thousands of victims were again misled and voted yes.
Having realized the attorneys sold out the individual victims, i decided to contact them. I began the process of getting qualified to receive money. I had no intention of hiring these attorneys because I have been against the bankruptcy since realizing the ballot was written to confuse us "pillbillies. "
I contacted an attorney involved in the settlement and asked what proof was needed. I was told I needed a letter from my doctor stating that I had been prescribed opioids for over 6 months. I contacted my doctor who had treated me 2 decades earlier. Miraculously he wrote a letter stating he had treated me in 2001-2002, I had been prescribed opioids for 8 months and qualify for compensation from Purdue pharma. I sent the letter to the attorney who told me no, that's not enough. The doctor has to write the exact drug and the exact dosage. After 20 years my doctor no longer has those records. Then I was told I had to prove addiction. I sent them my papers from rehab showing opioid addiction. they came back and said no. It has to say oxycontin addiction. Typically, when one goes to rehab, they are an alcoholic. They're not a vodka addict. They're an opioid addict, not an oxycontin addict. So the necessary documentation is nearly impossible to produce.
Finally I asked the attorneys to send me an agreement. I wanted to see how much they were demanding from the victims they had sold out. These attorneys that have a "passion for opioid addicts" want 40% plus expenses that are not capped, nor explained.
So it seems likely that the Sachlers will walk, (6 to 3 decision maybe), proving definitively and for all time that the United States of America has two systems of justice: one for the rich and one for the poor. Also likely that the orange seditionfuehrer will be afforded the same deference. The rich go free, the poor get fucked because it’s America.
And…. While Sandra Day O’Connor deserves some credit for busting the glass ceiling, she did vote for bush in the bush v. Gore decision. I will not find it in me to forgive that.

I’ve taken OxyCodine prescribed for pain following surgery. It allowed me to fall asleep which was part of my healing and recovery. There is a lot of research that opioids taken for physical pain are not usually addictive. Unfortunately many of the overdose deaths were not associated with temporary physical pain relief. Doctors still prescribe it and nobody was forced to take it, even the abusers. I don’t really understand this. Did the company really market and sell it as a safe recreational drug?
