The trouble is that you end up with diversity hires unable to actually do tge job. I have friends with businesses that only hire by abilty. Race is ignored as it shpuld be.
How come with 15M+ subscribers you get only 16 comments after 5 days ? Buyingf fake subscribers is not enough, you have to buy trolls too.

Being black myself, I worked with KPMG as a Financial Statement Auditor in the LA office for a little over five years. Blacks were EXTREMELY underrepresented among the audit staff. It wasn't because of "race" but the kinds of majors that blacks choose and the academic performance. There were "NO" barriers to entry for me, or any other black person, in the Public Accounting profession. Each "culture" has different things they prioritize. In my career as a CPA, I've found that certain industries are populated by certain ethnic groups. Some career fields are overpopulated by minorities. Each culture has its own preferences. Being "black", crunching numbers is not something that "our" culture promotes. Graduate high school, with good grades, attend a "good" college making great grades, become "the best" at what you do, and it won't matter what color your skin is. Everyone faces challenges that can BLOW YOUR LIFE UP, so make "wise" decisions. Seems, based on this report, that the affirmative action efforts didn't produce lasting results. Buld from the foundation and the efforts might make a difference. Affirmative Action is "window dressing" at best.

We need to recognize also that every time a minority is hired not by merit, but because they are a minority…. someone else who was more qualified and did the work, is turned down because they weren't born looking a certain way. This is wrong. These are real people too, who deserved better. Its time for fairness…… and to stop hiring people based on their looks, but on their work and effort!
