Look at the mother face as the daughter gives her opinion on the video 11:13. I would be horrified if my children were shown this propaganda in school. Yes, Christopher Columbus and the Europeans thought that the aboriginal people in North America were “ not civilized”, but that doesn’t make it true. The North American aboriginal people had very rich cultures, and in some aspects were far more civilized than Europeans.
It’s clear the people making these videos (PragerU) and pushing the videos are fragile snowflakes because the truth scares them. People who look different than them scare them. I don’t want my children growing up scared of people who look different than them, or believing that they are somehow better than others because of the colour of their skin.

Prager U's founder is a mess. Let me tell from teaching elementary school for now, over 23 years, I have never and will never teach about pronouns pertaining to a gender agenda. That's yhe parents' job, not mine! It's been all about academics. Being African American, the REALITY for us and our children is the hopeless struggle in America because most will only get but just so far because racism does exist and is interwoven in every American institution! That is the REALITY whether White Americans want to acknowledge it or not. If you have never been discriminated against then you are not qualified to speak on it because you don't really know how to recognize it!!! PERIOD!!!

Im black and I never felt disempowered. In fact it made me want to try that much harder because I already knew that me being a BW people were going to view me a certain way. Have you ever watched any of the YouTube clips with high school / college students being randomly ask simple questions. It is extremely evident that our education systems are failing us. It is mind boggling that these kids could be of college age and know so little.
We need a whole lot less woke and a ton more factual knowledge!
The problem is that teachers are taught by "mostly" socialist Universities /If you are sharing an "opinion" make it clear that it is only an "opinion" and offer the opposite opinion as well or keep it to yourself / if you are sharing facts share facts no matter your race creed or color. I am not Black, but I support Black kids must be taught about police racism. What if they are stopped by white cops. Everyone must look at the Fergusson Commission Report. Why should high school teachers not talk about it? My twins graduated from a public high school in suburban New York this year. As an involved parent, I asked them daily about what they learned in school. I reviewed their class notes and met with their teachers during parent-teacher conferences. When their friends visited for playdates or after sports events, I spoke with them as well. I had several in-depth conversations with my children and didn't notice anything unusual. I think many people are just jumping on the bandwagon. When my kids were in high school, we discussed 'woke' theories and other topics that are often talked about on TV. They believed that people tend to exaggerate these issues.
Reading books, especially about topics that make us uncomfortable helps us develope basic thinking / reasoning skills. Be carefull…this is dangerous.

This Prager U clan is freaky because they LIE. If they combatted the ocassional idiotic Left stuff with surgical precision, they would get more respect. Instead they magnify the fringe instances to justify their fringe existence. They lose me as soon as they open their mouths, they keep repeating "woke" like the politicians, a gross misappropriation of a noble and highly specific African American slang word for awareness. To war on this fringe defeats your whole purpose, most kids can see right through it. It leaves someone completely different, perhaps LGBT people themselves, much more reliable to discuss appropriateness of really dicey and really new things like trans id issues in multicultural schools.
People don’t THINK CRITICALLY….they also lack READING COMPREHENSION and MEDIA LITERACY……that’s the problem.

They should make a video of Franklin going into a brothel and paying a woman to sleep with him and explain what prostitution is and how the founding fathers loved it. Or, they could make one with George Washington having one of his slaves tied up and beating him and then they could show how Washington felt guilty after that and vowed not to do it again but did it again. Or, they could have a video of Jefferson (I believe who was married) laying in bed with one of his slaves and then showing real life pictures of his descendants today. Every one of those things you won't learn in public school. I know because I'm a white guy who went to public school (in the south) and had to learn all this stuff on my own after I left school and got (more of) the entire story of history by reading biographies of these people. We are all flawed, confused by our time, misinformed, make huge mistakes. There is nothing wrong in admitting that and then restoring the confidence in those who have been harmed and making ways for things to right themselves. There is nothing wrong with admitting that current states of black people who descended from these conditions have less access to financial resources than many others because they were forbidden from owning property, passing that property on, or getting good jobs or having the economic realities of their white counterparts for many generations and therefore we can make way for people now. It's silly to pretend these things didn't happen and it's silly to pretend it has no affect on modern people.
I do not want kids being taught that hot snow falls up. I don't care if nobody is teaching that, I don't want it in the schools. What I do want is somebody to listen to me, and a job running my mouth and doing nothing productive.
