The man literally said we shouldn’t bring politics into school. We shouldn’t be teaching political ideology in school, and then literally use the political slogan right afterwards. How can the man argue he’s not for politics in school right wing politics in school when he kept saying Donald Trump’s political slogan, over and over and over again.
Well, technically, America is institutionally racist. If you’re an educator pull the numbers. I would’ve loved to see this woman asked what do you think about the numbers in regards to racism? What do you think about the fact that a black person is more likely to be arrested in America, a black person is more likely to be prosecuted in America. What do you think about these numbers from the Navy Federal credit union where they did denied nearly 50% of African-American loan applicants as opposed to Caucasian applicants. I understand wanting to teach that America is great and sure I’m off for that teach that we are a great country but just because you’re a great country doesn’t mean you didn’t make mistakes and people who do great things learn from their mistakes and have no problems talking about those mistakes that others don’t commit them. The same don’t want their children to grow up to learn to say I’m sorry. The same parents don’t want their children to grow up and understand sympathy. This is a bigger problem. This is really politics. It’s literally left versus right. It’s just another issue where a political group looked up and said we can argue about this. Let’s go fight about this.
I’ll tell you what if America wasn’t so racist have this woman at PragerU explain any of the statistics that highlight the gap for minorities in our society. Don’t tell me about the statistics 10 or 20 or 30 or 40 or 50 years ago that’s not even go back that far. Tell me why these statistics exist today. She’s an educator give me an answer. I know they won’t. They immediately change the subject and say America is great. We shouldn’t have to answer these questions. Let’s talk about how great America is but I’m part of America and I want that question answered why is it that today literally today in America. We can pull up statistics that show as a black man face difficulties that someone of a different skin color, my age has a less likely chance of facing. So much so stats statistically it shouldn’t occur but it does which implies that there is something wrong with the system that there is bias in the system. Another word for bias is racism.

What curriculum should counter PragerU? This company is trying to make history come alive by praising the promise that is America. These videos are highly engaging and accessible. It should not replace discussion and critical thinking. Instead, it should be a springboard for more analysis and further exploration.
I have 3 children in elementary school.
We have already experienced a gender transition celebration in 1st grade (without parental heads up), an in-school (during school hours) drag queen story hour in 4th grade, and our teachers being explicitly trained in Critical Pedagogy and Kendi/DiAngelo's version of anti-racism. There is one teacher in the entire school that does not have a pride flag on her door, and she gets serious pushback about it on a regular basis from school staff.
To say "it's not happening" is just sticking your head in the sand.

Good clip and reporting. Definitely shows that PragerU has a conservative agenda behind it. If this could incorporate more perspectives, I do think this would be an attainable and effective way on educating children. Just not in its current context of a singular perspective..
We simply cannot compete here with the education that the Asians and Europeans have. My stepdaughter in Europe(she's 29 now), speaks fluently 6 different languages and codes A.I. Her education was free in Austria. She went 2 years to S Korea for her A.I. coding education. She works from wherever she wants, her favorite place in the world is Dubai. She travels there constantly for vacation/work. Working pool side. She makes over 6 figures in her 20s. How can our kids here compete against that? But more importantly kids need stable home lives, good nutrition and parents that care. My significant literally spent hours in the evenings and every Sunday for a few hours helping the kids with their math homework. It takes parents that care.

My kids graduated from Florida schools in the late 2000s, early 2010s. If there was any indoctrination by commission and omission in their educations, I’d say it was right-leaning.
One topic I’m reasonably educated about is the Seminole Wars, 1810s to 1850s. The constant period of active and passive warfare by the federal government against the Seminole was directly connected to the Indian Removal Act of 1830, new laws used to justify violating treaties, and the Trail of Tears. The Second Seminole War, 1835 to 1842, established precedents for the Indian Wars up to the 1890s, or 1920s depending on how one counts the Indian Wars. The directly-related Florida Armed Occupation Act of 1842 set national precedent for coming generations, too.
But reading my children’s textbooks and hearing about their classroom discussions you’d know about Seminoles killing Maj. Dade’s unit, have the impression that started the Second Seminole War, and move onto the Florida land rush of the 1840s having never heard of the Armed Occupation Act. And, that was a wrap on the topic.

Dennis Preger and his team are doing a great Job. The school system today are teaching victimhood, sexualizing education for small children, and not teaching them the skills they will need.
I can't believe we still have to deal with these self-righteous, self-involved people at this point in our progress as a nation. If not that adolescent me-first mindset, why are they so angry that the rest of us want our kids to grow up with empathy and compassion for people who are from different cultures and backgrounds or who are wired differently from the way they are?
A clear and future danger. So-called educators who do not understand or choose not to understand the difference between teaching HOW to think, and teaching WHAT to think. Their target buyers love the uneducated.
