In all seriousness, pls be safe everyone in Iceland. Pls listen to the geologists and the volcanologist(s) you have there. ❤ from 🇨🇦

  5. I think what we need right now is some volcano sensitivity.

  6. I was there a few months ago and Iceland is so beautiful. I hope everyone is safe. They are lucky to see this eruption.

  7. This is just horrifying. And Iceland is not the only one. It’s:
    Hawaii
    Chile
    Italy
    Réunion
    Indonesia
    Papua New Guinea
    The Philippines
    …and Japan.

  10. We're surrounded by liquid hot magma

  11. I like Marcus, the news reporter, he seems like a nice guy and legit good at his job. Bravo to ABC News for hiring him.

  15. I’m lucky that my mum didn’t go there!
She was going to go to Iceland to see the Northern lights!
    Phew

  16. To avoid death by volcano eruptions more mag 7 earthquake tsunami tornadoes and other disasters in Us in non-Muslim countries Pope Francis and non-Muslims to convert to Islam 12/21/2023.

  17. I love the fact that the authorities claim they don't want tourists arriving to endanger themselves watching the volcanoes – but don't seem to be doing anything to actually stop them arriving.
Forbidding hotels from accepting new bookings and stopping tourist agencies from arranging flights for all except Icelandic people themselves would be the easiest option.
But obviously no one is really that bothered if tourists are still arriving.
I just hope the situation doesn't get substantially worse very quickly (after all, this event erupted just when they thought the situation was easing), because as well as shipping out a load of sightseers to their home countries, they might have to ship out a load of Icelanders too. It's not like there's a spare city for the people of Reykjavik to move into. At this time of year as well, they could hardly be put into tents. They would have to be flown to the nearest host countries for support – and quickly.

  18. yea…this is just effects after eating Taco Bell…..which does create toxic gas…

  19. People create pollution, not volcanos

  22. "a guy" 😂 that's some professional journalism

  23. Heheh no this is normal been happening every year now for the last 3 or 4 no one is in danger only issue is the town of grindavik

  24. Fake news…
Clearly this is climate change terrorists again, they just installed a giant oven underground to make a fake volcano.
Everyone knows real volcanoes don't exist, especially not in Iceland cause it's made of ice, that's why it's called Iceland.

  25. Earth is the only planet we know of with fire.

  26. The eruption has mostly stopped
