  1. For some, church is a business.
You see them in your community.

  2. The worst group of people in the whole country

  3. I bought Tim Alberta’s book, The Kingdom, the Power, and the Glory, before it was published. Tim helps explain a lot of what has been happening in the Evangelical church over the past 50 years. It was especially eye-opening reading about Jerry Falwell Sr.and Liberty University. I heartily recommend Tim’s book, I’ll be rereading it for sure.

  4. You are simple minded and you are scared that trump will run and win

  5. Respectful relationship? With magical thinkers? Get real.

  6. Politically it is Reagan’s fault, courting the moral majority for votes, for power. That’s where evangelicals became glued to the right. Ironically Carter was possibly the most Christian man in the 20th century to be president regardless of thoughts about his policy or actions. After the ascendancy of the powerful lobby of the moral majority and Reagan grabbing that it ballooned forward in the Republican party. For votes. For power. Equals money. Trump is not a Christian. He’s not even a Republican. He’s a narcissist. It’s all about ego and power.

  7. He reminds me of Martin Luther in the 1600s.

  8. These evangelicals are no different than any other political group. Either you follow Christ's teachings, or you don't!

  9. When will you all speak of the radicalism on the left? Aka race bating, murder up until birth, 87 genders…

  10. Jesuslove becomes your essence and Being 😍🥰😍 ..if it aint doing that ? gulp a liar and a thief

  11. Churches are now radicalised

  12. We humans have no chance at a better society or even surviving until we understand our nature, our proclivity to form tribal cults and to think critically.

  13. He Doesn't Know Jesus; But Satan Is His Master

  14. Tim, I’m so so very glad to stumble on this today.

Since 2016, I have struggled deeply with reconciling my faith in Christ with what I have experienced in church. COVID time made things worse. I believe that it is important to be a part of a church and to be active in community with other believers. I am disturbed by what I hear and see from those with whom
I sit in pews. Where are our hopes set? I cannot believe how far apart we are on such core things.

I will forever love Christ and value the fellowship with other believers. I’m praying to find a church and true community where I don’t need to grapple with what you discuss in this episode and most likely in your book. For me. For my children. Many friends of mine are in the same struggle. Please know we appreciate you using your voice to speak up. God be honored.

  15. This guy has good points, however, as a Christian if you believe voting for Biden is helping your faith, you are a sheep. Therefore the alternate choice is the logical one.

  16. Risking the loss of your community to help save your community takes a great deal of strength.

  17. It is sad this man's church had members that couldn't put Jesus above politics. To me it speaks more of his church, with weak leadership. The church should not get involved in politics to the point that he has found himself in. It has a higher purpose!

  18. A group of religious zealots becoming radicalized, imagine that?

  19. The all powerful all knowing god. Made Eden. He then allowed an enemy to place an evil tree in his garden. Adam and Eve were to walk for eternity! trapped in a garden with a temptation. We all know man is not perfect . It only made sense that at some point Adam would eat the apple. God knew he would eat the apple yet let the threat remain in Eden. He then gave his only son to cleanse mans soul when he could have just removed the tree. Adam never had free will. God knew he would eat the forbiden fruit. They also say god has a plan. If you don't know what that plan is then you cannot prove he has a plan. I think god is off making better models if he's real in the sense a king decided.

  20. Evangelicals sold their principles and souls to a non-believer and truly experienced sinner to give them the VP, and a SCOTUS willing to overturn Roe v. Wade. They got what they wanted. The ends has not justified the means. And you've now lifted your 'flawed champion' to the status of idol as justification. This AZ Independent will be voting moderate blue until the maga stain is gone.

  21. Enemy of my enemy is my friend has never worked out well for those who tried it. White evangelicals chosing Trump is going to do more damage to Evangelicals than they think democrats will.

  22. The greatest trick the Devil ever did was creating Christianity.
