Companies should be forced to make these drugs if they want to continue doing business in the US… Or better yet the government should build its own enormous drug manufacturing facilities, produce all generic medications, and provide them to patients at zero profit.

I had leukemia (APL) in 2010. One of the meds I had to have to be cured (not 'just' remission) was $450 COPAY on my "advantage" plan (read: useless). I changed to a supplement and part D as soon as i could, and the same med was $0 copay. Same med, same manufacturer. Capitalism and profiting off of illness will just keep Americans sick so more money can be made off of them. There's no profit in healthy citizens.
