  1. There's going to be Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and
The Everything Else Streaming Service Max +

  2. Allowing Disney to buy Fox set a huge precedent. What are regulators going to say to Warner Bros Discovery and Paramount after they allowed that, "no"?

  3. If Warner Bros. and Paramount are going to merge, they should let the studios exist as separate entities under the same administration, since these studios are very iconic brands and have a very great sentimental value for the audience.

  4. Remember when streaming was a good alternative to cable. These mergers are starting to smell like a new streaming cable platform.

  5. The reason WHY Paramount buys Warner Bros. Discovery…

    1. Charlotte's Web was made by Hanna-Barbera (owned by Warner Bros.), and distributed by Paramount.

    2. Heidi's Song was made by Hanna-Barbera (owned by Warner Bros.), and distributed by Paramount.

    3. The Fonz and the Happy Days Gang was made by Hanna-Barbera (owned by Warner Bros.), and distributed by Paramount Television.

    4. Laverne & Shirley was made by Hanna-Barbera (owned by Warner Bros.), and distributed by Paramount Television.

    5. Mork & Mindy/Laverne & Shirley/Fonz Hour was made by Hanna-Barbera (owned by Warner Bros.), and distributed by Paramount Television.

    6. Warner Bros. buys Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory film from Paramount.

    7. Warner Bros. buys Paramount's Popeye cartoons.

  6. This felt like the end! This it! For Hollywood!

  7. It’s a stop gap move, all of them are going broke so this is an attempt for restructuring and yes, letting people go, what can I say go woke go broke

  8. I can see it now. General Zod attacking the Enterprise. I’ll see myself out🚪.

  9. In the words of porky the pig "i beli beli believe that is not a good idea folks!"

  10. More consolidation=higher prices & fewer choices.

  11. Probably because online streaming is an absolute mess. You would think season 26 of south park would be available on paramount+. Nope…. You can only stream it on max. The whole streaming thing is very confusing. Same with hockey. Peacock sold their NHL rights. Can't tell you how you can even stream hockey, anymore.

  12. This is a bad idea both companies are already in debt…. the government is supposed to protect against monopolies….. all these mergers are destroying competition in return equals lower quality content I love the competition between Studios it gives us more choices and better quality…. apple and skydance should buy Paramount

  13. Theres no magic to this kind of stuff. Some youtubers produce better content than either of these companies do. Keep the managers and dispose of the capitalists who contribute nothing. Nationalize the studios!

  14. Interested to see what these power houses can create with this merger 🔋💰

  15. GTA 6 is gonna flop cause you can’t out-satire this psychopathy

  16. I think these companies should stay separate and look for ways to grow, not ways to stagnate.

  17. Does it mean better tv, though?

  18. well think of it like this Disney won't get it's claws on popeye or betty boop or transformers

  19. DO NOT MERGE

Look at 20th Century Fox and Disney; LOOK HOW IT TURNED OUT!!!

  20. SpongeBob on CN…
Animaniacs on Nickelodeon… (but actually with the rights to the show instead of how they aired it on Nick back then)
    Time will collapse.

  21. Yeah…bada… ali baba..& other china small ball,

  22. Lionsgate must eye for Paramount global.

  23. transformers,nickelodeon,startrek,loooney tunes,cartoon network, dc

  24. We need more antitrust enforcement. Immediately.

  25. Why don't they just give their rights
to Netflix for content and let it be
That way…they spend nothing and make heaps of money
Merges are costly if you don't have the cast…and their are both ailing studios

  26. Two finished companies
like two people on crutches trying to walk together
Disney controls 60% of the industry…universal about 20%
Leaves about 20% for them. I don't call that progress at all
Warners has more botched and dying franchises
and Paramount has no big screen hits of late

  27. It was coming. The streaming wars amounted to this. I already have amazon, netflix, and disney plus/hulu
Why spend more on 2 more streaming services?

  28. Bubbles Utonium and Angelica Pickles together! Who will survive? Nickelodeon or CN? But there is no more competition today, much more of an oligopoly than a competition.

  29. Man…there won’t be any studios left if every keeps merging like this….

  30. This sounds awful. They will fire a bunch of people and produce less shows and movies. I also don't understand the logic behind this. Warner did tax write offs and did mass layoffs to save money because they are in debt. Won't a merger cost Warner more money.

  31. No, don't merge. Paramount and Warner are good on their own. The more competition they have, the better their movies will be.

  32. They havent learn theyre lesson havent they. Plus these companies have no idea how to run streaming at all.

  33. This Merger will destroy Netflix & I REALLY want Netflix to flush down the toilet

  34. So they are just gonna pretend there is no anti-trust law?

  35. Potential merger of WBD-Paramount Global (since part of NCAA March Madness).

  36. We’re entering the phase of Hollywood now where all the major studios are inbreeding.

  37. But Disney is hemorrhaging money from Disney+. And Netflix probably still doesn’t know how they’re going to pay their actors under contract. Every time they raise prices to compensate, they lose subscribers. These companies are gunna go bankrupt because nobody wants to pay more than the introductory prices. They set themselves up as an alternative to paying $150+ for cable/satellite for only like 5 channels you actually watch and a bunch more you never touch. Now it looks like the only they can pay their expenses is to charge the same as cable/satellite, and not enough customers will let them.
So why do these companies think it’s a good idea to follow Netflix and Disney+?
