Search continues for Alaska woman who disappeared under river ice



A search resumed for Amanda Richmond, a 45-year-old Alaska woman who went under the ice of the frozen Eagle River while trying to save her dog, according to state troopers. Richmond tried to save one of her dogs that had gone into an open area of water and has not been seen since.

  3. This was avoidable. Its sad to lose a pet but you have to keep your head and respond properly. If the dog fell thru the ice and was dragged by under current you just have to accept its gone. You cant dive in after if thinking the same wont happen to you

  4. Idiots. They went into the water and she did not resurface this isn't about walking across ice. They dove in. The psa should be do not dive into ice water trying to save an animal.
