I think the fool who came up with the bill was just mad that he couldn't get what he wanted despite there being other fast food places he could've gone to. Instead of getting over it he decided to go thru butthurt route 😅
PS this is just my opinion but NYC government should focus more on trying to deal with their illegal immigrant problem than worry about trying to force a business to be open cause they too lazy to go to other food joints

Why doesn't the other restaurants just make waffle fries and good chicken nuggets. All you do is cut chicken tenders up in small pieces, then batter them. Then you have to figure out the proper cook time. Come up with some good sauces. You can make chicken wings, and sandwiches. It isn't hard if you have the fryers, freezer, and refrigerator. I have always loved Chick-fil-A. I remember it even from my childhood. Eating those waffle fries and nuggets. Mmmm…. I think this has more to do with tax revenue. The rest stops would generate more revenue. The truck drivers could order out, pack a lunch, or any other food source. I don't think this is about the drivers. I don't remember hearing about a trucker strike for Chick-fil-A on Sundays.
The stupidity of the panel members who claim that the locations are state owned property but fail to mention that all of these businesses PAY the state of New York hefty rent for these locations.

If I were Chick-fil-A I would move all my restaurants out of those places where the legislation is saying they should be open. If we are free to practice our beliefs as we know them then it is wrong for the government to come in and say a Christian organization cannot practice what it believes. I live in RI. There used to be a time when I was a young man in the 2000s, when liquor stores couldn't be open on Sundays. There should be the option to be open Sundays, and let a business choose what days it wants to be open.
I would prefer Chick Fil A just close those locations than open on Sundays. If they need food on Sunday so badly replace them with McDonalds and Taco bell.
