Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley is facing scrutiny after leaving out slavery as a root cause of the Civil War during a town hall in New Hampshire. Haley attempted to explain what she meant afterwards, but her opponents seized onto the comments. NBC News’ Ryan Nobles reports.

She majored in finance/accounting in college, probably never took a history course there. History and Theology are not taught in public schools in the US so her ignorance is not a surprise to me. Knowing history is incredibly important if you are going to hold public office, this does not help her campaign for sure.
I want my tax dollars to stay home, and my vote will go to a candidate with such plan. It is estimated that a billion dollars will pay for 40,000 student loans, or buy health insurance to 125,000 people for one year, or fully support over 10,000 needy homeless for one year. Google how many billions we gave in foreign aids since 2012, as an example, over $600 billion is the estimate. Part of our money goes to a dictator who bought a $500 million dollars air plane (competing with Air Force 1) with our money while his people are suffering. It is fair to say enough is enough; we have a long way to go here at home.

I disagree it was a civil war the lord told me it was about the southern women He said the deep south at the time was gaining attention all around the world in very highly advanced societies because of their biblical take on things. The fact that women were emancipated first and were seen as beauty queens politicians well read mattered to everyone. Lincoln was a homosexual and was in a cult that continues today there was a proposition from a southern society on the lap of congress the day lincoln declared war it was a plan to begin educating the children of slaves to read and write with funds provided to build them schools (and they already had 5 schools in Georgia) in all states . needless to say they had more plans than that they had proposed in the bill to build new cities where freed slaves could begin their own businesses with the idea that the children would teach their parents to read and write. The Lord said lincoln knew it would pass so he declared war 2 hours before it was voted. Look it up. And that the reason why was because the women of the south were too perfect and would liberate women everywhere and their cult strikes women down first and foremost so thats why the south is still upset because its not an issue that they can die from so they cant let it go believe in the cross

The Civil war was about slavery but that was more of the 2nd issue. Abraham Lincoln famously said that he found secession illegal and that the if he could keep the union together without freeing one single slave he would do it. So in the end the war was really about: "secession is illegal and will be fought with war"..

We have uninformed citizens and awful public education. Civil war was caused by Sen. Stephen Douglas (D-Ill) not believing Feds could forbade slavery in states (Cooper Union address) while "Black Republicans" were just against its spread. Lincoln said, "One section of our country believes slavery is right and ought to be extended, while the other believes it is wrong and ought not to be extended."
