The houthis said they would impose a naval blockade only on ships heading to israeli ports, until israel stops preventing food, water, medicine from entering the gaza strip. Since what israel is doing is a war crime, then actually the houthis are doing the job of the US and UN by holding the zionists accountable for breaking international law and committing war crimes. Question; how long can the owners operators of the Suez Canal, basically the Egyptian Government. Actually afford to lose a drop in Canal Fee's, from international Commercial Shipping Vessels.
When already Egypt seems to be losing around or between 7 Million to 10 Million US Dollars per day, in Suez Canal revenue not going to the Egyptian Government.
Which could soon add up in Suez Canal revenue loses, to over 280 to 300 Million US Dollars per month to the Egyptian Government, by the end of February or into March 2024.
If these Houthis, Iranian and Somalia Attacks and Hijacking carryon on, or worse increase in level resulting in International Commercial Shipping Vessels and their cargos, being seriously damaged, destroyed and lost.
Or vessels are actually sunk in or by drone attacks, or by anti-ship missiles or cruise missile attacks, let alone by tactical ballistic missile attacks too.
Or more and more vessels, their cargo plus crews, are hijacked by either Houthis, Iranian’s and Somalia’s too, then taken to Yemen or to Iran even, to be held for ransom claiming Tens of Millions in US Dollars for their release.
Whether these Attacks and Hijacking’s take place in the Red Sea, or in the Gulf of Aden and in the Arabian Sea, maybe even happening in the Persian Gulf too, or basically across the whole of Northern Western Indian Ocean now as well!
With maritime insurance costs going into outer orbit, like an Apollo Moon Shot for all International Commercial Shipping Vessel’s. Daring to risking going through the Suez Canal, then through the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden, or through the Arabian Sea and/or into the Persian Gulf as well?
Or any International Commercial Shipping Vessel, daring to cross the Northern Western Indian Ocean, or even the Central Indian Ocean head to and from the Straits of Malacca down to Cape Town.
Then around the South Atlantic Ocean coastline of the Cape Peninsula in South Africa, Cape of Good Hope, before sailing up the South Atlantic Ocean heading to Western European Ports or sailing up to North American Eastern Seaboard Ports, plus adding around 11 to 21 extra days of sailing just one way too?
Or could the Suez Canal owners operators the Egyptian Government, be made to go broke by Iranian's Regime and its agents the Houthis and Somalia's too, if this goes on right through 2024 and into 2025?
Or will the Americans, British, French and their Nato Allies plus their International Partners, one cannot afford this to go on that long, before having to be forced into taking directly offensive military action against the Houthis, Somalia's acting on the Iranian Regime orders from Tehran.
