Enforce existing law as it was intended by Congress. If you can't get it changed, then the law still stands as written. This crisis is 100% engineered by the Biden administration. The "root cause" of this crisis is an administration (and political party) that does everything it can to encourage illegal crossings and nothing to discourage them. Prior to the 2020 election all democrats in Washington got together and decided that Biden would open the border on his first day in office! All of the democrat mayors knew this, but they all just assumed that the border states would foot the bill for all the illegals, like they have in the past! Gov Abbott surprised them all by sending illegal migrants to all of their "sanctuary cities," which were sanctuaries in name only! None of them prepared for the invasion that they created, again fully expecting border states to go into debt to house and feed all of their new democrat voters! Well guess what? These illegals that YOU invited are coming to YOUR house now!
