After more than 30 years leading the NRA, Wayne La Pierre has announced that he is resigning due to health reasons. This comes at an interesting time as La Pierre is set to face a civil trial in New York for corruption. Attorney General Leticia James says his resignation “validates our claims against him.”

Most of us gun owners have been unhappy with the NRA for many years. My 2nd amendment support goes to GOA and FPC

Wayne might be gone, the NRA might be diminished, but the backbone of 2nd amendment,the millions of law abiding gun owners is still strong and still straight. If politicians think we won't fight our rights or remember they are even dumber than we thought and the media's narrative and false blame of law abiding gun owners for the acts of criminals and crazies is exposed as an agenda for civilian disarmament not crime control.
The NRA desperately needs a new direction, has needed one for a very long time. They have failed miserably to combat the scourge of anti-2A propaganda in our culture for decades. I've said it before and I'll say it again: The current interpretation of the second amendment is unconstitutional. Read the preamble, which clearly lays down the basis for ALL interpretation of the constitution and try to square the second amendment with the preamble. It cannot be done. Someone is going to have to get the Supreme Court to actually read the constitution instead of excerpts from it.
