Authorities identified a body found inside a chest freezer at a San Diego home as Mary Margaret Haxby-Jones, who police say may have been missing or dead for up to nine years. KNSD’ Amber Frias spoke with neighbors stunned by the grim discovery.

It's always "a quiet neighborhood ". 9 years ago in the house it was noisy. Then quiet. There the motive, nag, wetblanket..whatever. if the old dude, the soon to be suspect was out and about, then "HI Joe, ..How's Mary?" Yup, "In the house…never on the sidewalk."
At this point there's nothing any human could do that would surprise me, Evil 👿

No one misses an 81 year old senior? Her family did not care enough to wonder where she was? That is probably why they wont answer questions. Was the old guy her husband or boyfriend? So sad. I would offer my condolences to her family, but they don't seem to care.

Something…similar happened in my neighborhood. Only, instead of murdering the woman, he kept her locked in a room for 5 years with no windows or bathroom access. No one in the neighborhood knew. My coworker lived across the street. I drove by that house twice a day for years. There were even children in that house. He (the capturer/brother) was collecting her disability
I bet she was on SSI, or some sort of monies coming in. People know stuff & not talking. Someone was probably cashing Mary's checks each month or she had the money going into her bank account. The family knows but decline to talk?

It's all about continuing to collect her social security income. Without it, the old man would've been one more living on the streets and also already dead because of that. This is how our Fng country is treating our elderly.

Apparently she was a still active nurse/medical person at the time she disappeared, yet there are no pictures of her from 9 yrs ago on the internet or articles 9 yrs old about a missing nurse. Strange to say the least.
You’d think an active practitioner going missing would garner more attention. That would almost be like a doctor going missing from his/her practice and people with scheduled appointments being stranded.
She died and the guy never reported it to keep collecting her social security checks.
So sad. No one missed or cared or reported the woman missing for 9 whole years.
