New images from the National Transportation Safety Board show the focus of its new investigation, the gaping hole where a sealed and plugged door hole blew out as the Alaska Airlines plane was flying from Oregon to California. NBC News’ Tom Costello has the details as passengers describe the flight.

That’s why I have tried to avoid max planes for at least until 2025. However, it has to be waited until 2030 for me to fly with max.
Made in China?

Remember, diversity is our strength…
These news presenters' inflections are ridiculous. It's preposterously unbelievable.
Thank goodness that the passengers had the wherewithal to be conscious just so that they could prioritize filming themselves
Max should be permanently grounded. Boeing cuts corners to compete with Airbus and it shows.
I guess it is time to move away from Boeing altogether.
Properly bolted? Is it 1935?
I was wondering why there was an airplane door embedded in my front lawn.
If the depressurization happened at cruising altitude, the pilots would’ve descended down to 10,000 feet so the passengers could breathe with the oxygen masks. The masks provide 15-20 mins of oxygen so as long as the pilots could get the plane down to the lower altitude everyone would be ok. I’m surprised the NTSB agent didn’t mention this fact or maybe she was cut off.
If there was someone near that gaping wall…… 💀.. the other day they were saying abt loose bolts for the rudder system 😅.. was it assembled at walmart or something
The cockpit voice recorder is of no use as it was a 2 hour model and overwritten.
NTSB again urged the FAA to mandate retrofitting to the international standard 25 hr recorders.
Gaping what 😂😂😂
And people complain about lost luggage and delayed flights. Every time your flight lands safely be thankful.
Its standard operating procedure to look at the black boxes obviously but I don't think they are going to reveal anything. This is a mechanical engineering problem on the door itself.
Shut down Boeing ‼️
This is outrageous
THE TRUMP PUPPET ARMY WILL BLAME BIDEN , PALESTINIANS AND JEWS FOR THIS INCIDENT 😂😂😂. TRUMP WILL BLAME IT ON UKRAINE.
Come on Boeing. You are losing the trust and confidence of passengers and crew.
Thank God everyone is safe very terrifying experience if it was ppl sitting in them seats by that door their family would be rich forever
Obviously somebody did not do their job right . Time to have REAL ENGINEERS running Boeing
There aren't any records on those black boxes that won't be on the regular flight record…the only thing that will of interest will be the moment the depressurisation happened, which won't really tell them anything.
People look like Ai
surprised her mic sounds soo bad with the mask. hard to hear in an emergency
Where is the door goes?
They were saved 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
A kids t-shirt got sucked off… Bill Clinton must have been onboard 😮
Airplane accidents always spread. This was said and warned against by the Japanese military during World War II, but later it became known that this mysterious phenomenon was actually occurring in other countries such as the United States and the United Kingdom. This accident follows a collision in Japan. Those in the aviation industry need to be attentive, knowing that if something happens twice, it will happen three times.
Boeing should be building buses not airplanes. Check with the airlines before you fly. If the equipment is listed as a 737 nine, change carriers if favor of a different aircraft. Save your self and buy a bus or train ticket.
