The NTSB recovered the missing 63-pound door plug that blew out of the side of an Alaska Airlines Boeing 737 Max 9 plane. Investigators are looking into how and why the plane suffered a decompression explosion at 16,000 feet. NBC News’ Tom Costello spoke with one of the passengers about his terrifying experience.

Blown out, not sucked out. The air isn't sucked out of a balloon when it pops. That's exactly what a plane is at higher altitudes. The high it goes, the bigger the pop. Science is hard for the news. A lot of luck on that plane.

That's what you get with things designed by computer. So complicated no one can check everything the way it should be checked. Computer doesn't care if you get sucked out the window, Going to be more and more of it in the future.

If anyone was in those seats, they would have gotten sucked out. this is just another case of corporate, looking at the bottom line, and not peoples safety. the warning lights are there for a reason, they are no "suggestions" or "recommendations" it means, you have a freaking problem, now fix it.
"Door Plug" is a Very Dumb Aviation Design. Military Aircraft Have "Doors"……….Not Plugs….
