This stat is being used in a misleading way because it's always brought up in regards to school shootings, but in reality most of these deaths are overwhelmingly the result of mental health/irresponsible owners for the case of suicide in Children that makes up for 30% of all deaths by firearms for children/teens, and the problem of crime in low income areas of using illegal and unregistered firearms in homicide cases where children are killed are around 60% of all deaths by firearms for children/teens, finally there is 150 children dead from irresponsible gun ownership in the case of accidents; meaning that not even 5% percent of gun deaths are related to Children being murdered in mass shootings, because the actual number is actually less then 1%..
Gun deaths in mass shootings is extremely low, and it's only a problem in recent decades because of a cultural problem, and this is obvious considering that guns are harder to get but are being used irresponsibly more then ever. The Government should not infringe on rights of gun onwers more and more when that is clearly not the issue here, rather the culture of the US has been degrading to the point that we think the Government is the solution, and that it wasn't the environment of that these mentally ill people grew up in or the morals of our culture that has increased the rate of mass shootings.
