New lunar lander mission could kick off new space race

History is being made as the first U.S. lunar lander in more than 50 years is making its way to the moon’s surface. The launch is part of a collaboration between NASA and Astrobotic Technology, a private commercial company. NASA has five different experiments as payloads on this mission while the 15 other payloads are commercial.

  1. Why prioritize landing on the moon when there are millions of people homeless in your country?

  2. A new race to see who’s propulsion system fails first haha

  3. Today we can't land a rover on the moon. Yet we claim to have multiple manned missions to the moon. The American people's gullibility is going DOWN! day by day!

  4. It failed. Waste of taxpayer money.

  5. Why didn't they send another man to the moon? 😮think about it because a man has never been to the moon omg 😂😂😂😂😂😅😊

  6. That's how medicine, internet you are on and many more were made.

  7. This has to be regulated the moon is not to be used or exploited by anyone goverment or worse indiviaduals or corporations

  8. The moon belongs to us Americans and so does mars… mars also belongs to us Americans 🇺🇸.

  9. WOW! First US moon landing mission in decades launches! 10. No. That's not accurate information that the university professor is imparting in connection with the first Apollo moon landings. She's not correct. The US government does not make anything itself. It does not operate for profit and it has very strict guidelines it must follow as well as those companies that contract with the federal government. The federal government contracts work out to private companies, or federal contractors. Boeing, for example, as well as other companies were responsible for manufacturing the rockets as well as landing craft used in the original Apollo missions. How am I aware? Because I was employed by a major US government contractor for several years. Additionally, much has been published about the original Apollo moon missions throughout succeeding years. This information can be found not only libraries, buta variety of different bookstores.

  11. WHAT?? WHY?? …
    THIS IS SUSPICIOUSLY SUDDEN

  12. Unfortunately it's a race instead of a cooperation

  13. It’s going to take a month and a half to reach the moon and drop this lander. In 1969 they did it in 4 days.👈🏻🤔🤷🏼‍♂️

  14. 200,000 for Countries 60 years for Companies and within a 100 years civilians mark my words.

  15. SpaceX a private company had 98 launches and reusable first stage landing recoveries in 2023. Doesn’t sound like a failure to us professor.

  16. Wait! What’s the payload!? Lol is the lunar lander going to drop something off on the surface of the moon, or is the lunar lander itself the payload? Lol someone please help me understand, my OCD is messing with me too much on this hahah.

  17. Oh its Savannah " ss" again 😂. 🍿🤦‍♂️ enjoy the show , sooo fake

  18. What an enormous waste of time, money and resources.

  19. EVERYBODY TOO BROKE TO GIVE A SINGLE EF ABOUT THIS! IS THIS HELPFUL TO THE PEOPLE? CAN WE GO? CAN WE GO PAST ALASKA? OK THEN!

  20. Well, the moon is a hollow space ship, that was deliverately placed in earth's orbit.

  21. Throwing some shade at Space X 😂

  22. Private funding is the way. Let's stop subsidizing billionaires and start funding the VA instead. There is zero point to nasa anymore as the private sector has eclipsed nasa completely.

  23. Yes let’s focus on becoming multi-planetary species. We need to explore new land in and outside of this solar system instead of bombing each other.

  24. a new space race, without tarnishing global ties or causing tension, would be SO dope
