If a president can only be prosecuted after impeachment, then they could order Seal Team 6 to take out all their opponents in Congress, thus preventing impeachment. Similar to what Saddam did in Iraq.

The left has once again played themselves. If the judge rules in favor of presidential immunity, Smith's and Willis' cases are done. If they rule against presidential immunity, Biden gets immediately sued by States for breaking/failure to enforce immigration law.

When the impeachment trial was held in Congress, Republican legislators argued that because he was no longer president, the trial should be held in court rather than as an impeachment case. How can his lawyers now argue that he would first need to be tried and convicted in an impeachment trial by the Senate?
