The FAA is temporary grounding certain Boeing 737-9 MAX until they are inspected after an Alaska Airlines flight made an emergency landing.
The flight returned to Portland, Oregon, soon after takeoff after it “experienced an incident,” prompting the airline to temporarily ground its Boeing 737-9 fleet, the airline said Friday.
The cabin became depressurized shortly after takeoff and the pilots asked for an emergency landing, according to the transcript of an air traffic control call from LiveATC.net. A photo posted on social media appeared to show a hole in the fuselage next to a passenger seat.

Manufacturer liability here. A new plane ? Notice how the old stuff is better than the new stuff. Cheap manufacturing costs more than it seems. Hold the airlines responsible by regulating them however congress is too busy attacking each other rather do something constructive for their constituents. Just came back from Asia on a Max-9 most uncomfortable ride because of shrinkage, they are so lucky it de-built at 16000 ft not at 35, would have been totally dif story. Are they hiring Ford workers whose motto was Quality’s Job None.
