OMG what a terrible cherry-picking journalism.
Boeing were so incredibly lucky with this dummy door. If it had held on for even 1 minute longer and the plane had been closer to cruising altitude then the outcome could have been dramatically different. After the 2 fatal crashes we were assured that the Max would not take to the skies again until it was 100% safe to do so. The FAA had to actually get their hands dirty instaed of ticking boxes at arms length. Well, now they can go around checking dummy doors….& every other bolt on every Max out there, especially those configured this way. Super, super clear now that it is culture to blame and safety has taken a back seat over diversity & profits. The new CEO must step down immediately and we want someone who actually means what they say. We all fly in these tin cans.
Time to sack the whole lot of them and start over with systems that we want. I am talking not just about government but EVERY manager who subscribes ato ANY policy which goes aginst common sense. Nothing less than a complete turnover.
I had an interview for an avionica position. I have worked in that field 20+ years and the interviewer basically told me "i would not fit in". Possibly because I'm white.
