I work for Hertz every single day they will admit they screwed up bye-bye all these electrical vehicles we don’t have the infrastructure to charge them people don’t like them because you can’t get to where you want to go. They are not good for rental vehicles if you have one you drive to work 20 miles you drive home 20 miles you plug it up at your house every single night. Great car overpriced great car.

Hertz made a mistake that will bite its investors in the pocketbook. That fleet will cost exponentially more, and at the time of their repurchase of EVs the expense of the internal combustion gasoline guslers will hit the balance sheets like gang busters. No prophecy, you do the math!
but they're keeping over 80,000 … sometimes things are just accounting cleanups – like Tesla pricing decreased so they're sitting on fleet with future resale values lower. Just getting thing balanced out again…
I worked for hertz about 10 years ago. I’ll bet my current paycheck that they simply were not getting rented as much as their ICE vehicles.
