Ecuador faces rise in gang violence as president issues state of emergency



Ecuador is facing a spike in gang violence as the county’s President Daniel Noboa issued a state of emergency. This comes after a group of men attacked a tv station on-air. Some U.S. airlines are halting flights to the country due to the increase in violence.ย

  2. If the rich like Chevron had gone into Ecuador and helped the people of Ecuador with their lives instead of destroying their land and incomes then this would not have happened. Greed from world wide corporations are the biggest mercenary thieves in Ecuador and other countries. And then America's tax paying dollars have to come in and clean up the mess.

  8. Guayaquil was also the epicenter of COVID deaths in the country, just to say. There is a huge bus terminal there that goes everywhere, which is probably part of the problem.

  12. Did you know that the majority of people committing crimes in Ecuador are not even Ecuadorian citizens? Ecuador needs to address the issue of illegal immigration and take strong measures against crime, just like Donald Trump did. Ecuador needs a leader who is tough on crime and knowledgeable in economics.
