Denver Health, one of the largest hospitals in Colorado, treats everyone who walks through its doors regardless of their ability to pay. But providing care to more than 8,000 migrants has put the hospital in a financial bind. As NBC News’ Julia Ainsley reports, Denver schools are also struggling to keep up with the influx.

I've been hit with medical problems, and I just recently lost my job. I had to pay 700 dollars a month to keep my workplace insurance. Then, I transferred to a Marketplace plan.
That plan requires 400 a month, but I get the crapiest benefits.
I've spent over 5,000 dollars in the past 4 months.
The bad thing is, I consider myself lucky. So why do they get, literally, FREE healthcare while Americans die from fear of going to the hospital and being extorted of the little wealth they have?
Why are the citizens of America paying for all the illegals while their own families suffer???
How about the Americans we are not getting health care what about us we are last

This is what Democrat voters wanted when they decided to be a sanctuary city. The people of Iowa should not be paying for Denver's ideology. That should be on the people of Colorado. They elected this, or rather the California transplants did.

Im a war vet and I cant even get seen by the VA hospital. Im literally rolling up to a year after I filed for my disability claim and I still havent had my appointment. I cant get a hold of anyone to help on the next step, I get pushed around. I applied for assistance for medical because my meds are expensive and I get denied how is this women getting free medication?! Yeah, im annoyed

I’ve been waiting for months to get into a Dr. and I’m a tax paying resident of Colorado. It makes me so angry that our president is doing nothing about this crisis. I have to watch my condition get worse every day and all I have left is to pray to god.

US government interference with Central and South American governments over the past 60 years has cause many problems that the people are fleeing from. We had a good economy here after WWII. Reagan and Clinton put in NAFTA and let all of out good paying-benefits jobs go out of the country. We have an enormous amount of US citizens who are homeless and we are not solving the problem ! We have US citizens living below the poverty line, without health care, housing, food, no help !

If you own a house by the mountains GREAT Colorado is probably awesome for you, if you are poor though Colorado is horrible.
The traffic is insane, the housing prices are insane, the job market isn't THAT good, the homeless have gotten completely out of control. I keep reminding myself to leave this state as soon as possible. I grew up here and I hate to leave, but Colorado has made it perfectly clear that a white person like me isn't welcome here.
