How many people do they have on this show without a college degree? I’m guessing very few. Why is that?
In regard to public sentiment, being awarded a college degree today means about as much as being awarded a participation trophy in pee wee sports.

Unless you own your own business and make big money, today's woman doesn't want anything to do with an uneducated low wage man. You might get lucky and land a plumper.
People got college degrees to work at big corporations and be taken care of for life. But now, with blackrock, vanguard and other hedge funds owning the world's corporations, people are treated like numbers and let go at the drop of a hat.
But the small, family run buisnesses still take care of their employees and treat employees as human beings and not numbers.

Yes, I fully agree. I have a 4-year Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. I make over $200K. It is a constant source of shame for me. I don't know how I will ever survive. The regret and embarrassment I feel is debilitating. I wish someone would have stopped me from going down this useless path in my life. If only I would have listened to Mike Rowe, I could have saved myself a lifetime of sorrow and remorse.

"People with four-year degrees have an indoctrination." Spoken like a true moron who has no idea what college is. The vast, vast majority of what is taught in college is the topic of the class you're in. Trigonometry professors aren't pushing their political agendas. This is just fear-mongering BS that college dropouts like to push.
The bottom line is a person needs to provide a skill that satisfies a need in the society- college degree or not.
My life's goal was to get "independent" and self financed – requires sacrifice, but do-able if you stay focused.

When an undergrad, we saw legacy students in frats cheat like breathing. Yeah, so companies get what they pay for….
What could possibly go wrong sending our young adults to a 4 year institution, run by liberals, that punishes conservatives, takes up every stupid and immoral cause in the world, all at a tremendous cost?

Think about how many of those college graduates have gone into the FBI, Government positions, CIA and DHS, DOJ….I know that they have no pride or Love, even Loyalty of America!

I went to school for Engineering through one of the cheapest paths in the country.
2 year community College Engineering transfer program, 3 year state school program. Took me 3 years because I wasn't sure if I wanted to do Mechanical or Electrical and was doing both.
Community College cost $2500/year tuition, state school cost $5500/year tuition in early 2000's. Still one of the cheapest pathways.
I worked construction summers to pay for my rent and living expenses and as much tuition as I could.
Ended up paying about $20k for an Engineering degree.
Starting salary out of school was $50k.
My buddy went to 2 year trade school to be a machinist. Got into large form machining. He was making $100k a year by the time I was 3 years in.
Today, we are moving for my wife's job. I get to keep mine and work remote.
I'm buying property and building a house. If I build a house every 2 years in the market we are moving to, it will bring in the equivalent of 3x my current Engineering salary in net profit.
Once I build 2 houses, I'm retiring from Engineering, and I'll build a couple more and have enough cash invested to permanently retire.
I have a daughter who I'm hoping I can teach to invest and manage money well, and I'll teach her how to build her own house… she can skip right to the end game if she plays things right. Make the equivalent of $390k taxable income annually by building a house every 2 years.

I graduated from Cornell. But I have never contributed a dime to them as an alum. Partially this is because I am a cheapskate. But it is also because I disagree with their left-wing politics. I don't want to contribute to my political enemy. Elite education institutions are engaging in political propaganda instead of actual education.
Imo, another huge reason is that professor chairs targeted impressionable young students with Marxist indoctrination and an attitude of rebellion!! Most parents won't pay for that!
College is a horrible investment. Period. Go into massive debt for a $50K per year job, when you can go into the trades and pull $80K with experience with no debt? Until college becomes more affordable, this trend will continue.

It takes a lot to see beyond the whole ocean of news on focus on what is important, which is that no matter how low stocks go, they always bounce back. I really ignore all the news and keep investing. recently allocated about $61k to put in the market as we anticipate a crash. Any recommendations?
