Anna Sorokin, aka Anna Delvey, is asking for a second chance.
Anna served nearly four years in prison after claiming to be a German heiress and swindling some of New York’s elite out of more than $200,000 to support her lavish lifestyle.
She is just one of the “Famous Fakers” who rose to pop culture fame featured in this week’s episode of #ImpactOnHulu.

She stole thousands of dollars became a convicted criminal didn’t get deported got released early from jail and got a tv show. If I wouldn’t have been someone of color or someone who’s south of the border they wouldn’t have hesitated to give them more jail time or deport them
We grow up constantly hearing "you can be anything you want to be" "follow your dreams" bleh bleh.
I mean, that's really all she did. she was a commoner that wanted to be an elite.
It's like everything she did was ok UNTIL the other rich folks realized she didn't have power and money and was worthless to them so that's when everyone started going after her. I bet if she really was an heiress that did exactly what she did and didn't pay for anything. It would be hush hush and/or swept under the rug.
If she had any power, they would of just said whatever services were used would of been "complimentary". Most businesses end up giving up their services for free to rich folks. I get why they do it but I can't accept it.
Anyway, those are just my thoughts. I know what she did was wrong, but 12 years is way too long. They should make her work to pay off her debts, would make more sense. But as I said, of she was a politician she would have gotten away with it , but since she's a commoner with no money and/or power to offer them, they will throw the book at her. Poor girl
She literally gives an Austriallian 60 minutes interview where she giggles about all her crimes and says it's the other people's fault for failing for her schemes. She also said she is not remorseful whatsoever and it's the other people who should be sorry.

Why would she spend any time in prison, she didn't do anything violent and the supposed victims were the wealthy and hotels and jet companies, they should sue her for money and she should pay that back plus restitution of course but putting her behind bars helps absolutely no one.
Prisons should be reserved for violent criminals, financial crimes and non violent robberies can easily be paid back.
But violence cannot be undone or murdered people brought back to life.
Money is just money and can be repaid.
She already has spent more time in prison than many rapists and other violent offenders have.
We need prison reform and reserve it for the most violent and dangerous people, not people that LARP as royalty to get perks that people and places shouldn't be giving to the wealthy in the first place.
