As an Australian I was happy to see the West Indies win. And Shamar Joseph was brilliant and I enjoyed watching him bowl, though after only two tests we will see how goes though I hope he can continue his form and help West Indies to more wins in the future. Though I am worried for them as they still need to find a young fast bowler or two that can support him as the other fast bowlers did ok but they were not as threatening. Also they need to find some good batsmens to consistently back up his great work, though a couple of the new batsmens did well. But their catching was brilliant in the slips which I have not seen from a West Indies team since the 80's which something Pakistan in the lead up tests could learn from. If not for Smith then West Indies would have won easily, and maybe that occasion in Australia's first innings when Carey's bail did not drop. But shows the quality of Smith as how here nearly got Australia home. And from an Australian supporter who went through the 80's and early 90's putting up with that great West Indies team and not able to beat and hoping Australia would beat them someday in a series, it has been a shame to see West Indies struggle over the last 20 years, but looking back though I did get sick of them winning but I do apprecaite how great that West Indies team were during that era and I do hope they can get close to that success again. So hopefully everyone in the West Indies gets behind them and gives them the well earned support they deserve and they get more test cricket as they deserve.
AFTER LONG TIME A BOWLER BOWL FULL LENGTH BOWL IN WI CRICKET OTHERWISE ALL SAME TYPR OF BOWLERS …..
hats off to a true talent.. pls maintain this trajectory and bring many more wins for the WINDIES
Great bowling by Chamar Joseph.
Two test matches is not enough i will like to see we play them more match in a series.
Shamar is a joy to watch he bowls with great pace
i was listening to ABC radio sat as i was driving around Perth just before the match started and the commentators were saying they hoped that West Indies put up a fight after their first innings courage, Saying that many australians had a soft spot for the Windies. I for one am glad they won after the troubles their cricket teams had to endure over the past few years with pay disputes, a star player being kicked of the team for being late for a flight. Seeing these guys give it their all and actually win is both a win for them and a win for their country, seeing Lara and other ex players in tears shows how much respect this team just earned in one breathtaking session and Josephs take a bow 7 wickets in one session against some of the best batsmen in the world is a feat to be forever etched in cricket history.
He listed his price for 20L in IPL. Yet, no one found interest. Now, he will worth a million.
Thank God. West indies cricket is not dead. He reminds me of great west indian bowlers of past
What a bowler…..look forward to seeing what his future brings.
Late Malcom marshals soul must be happy up heaven
Well dun young man rally roun d windies
Watching his bowling, the sky is the limit. I've heard the comparisons to Malcom Marshall which are understandable but he looks more of a Holding type. Fast through the air and wicked quick off the pitch. Doesn't swing as much as Marshall YET but he can move it with the arm and a bit off the pitch. The way to play him will be with timing but boy, does he get off the pitch and to the man quickly. Pair that with the big man Alzari and the Windies might have a new wicked duo that we can count on for years to come.
Hero❤ Young Joseph
Good for the sports.

Write off the Windies at your own risk
No, this match was not an upset. Get over yourselves.
