The Commerce Department reported that the economy continued to grow at a healthy pace at the end of 2023, exceeding economists’ expectations. The gross domestic product grew at an annual rate of 3.3 percent in the third quarter. For all of 2023, growth was a healthy 2.5 percent. NBC News’ Christine Romans reports.

inflation is 'permanent'^The key to knowing the state of the economy today is. Question: Can I afford in the^Biden^administration^what I could afford in the last administration? And the answer is: NO, YOU CANNOT. If you are living your life on credit or a loan, you do not even own your life today.^Biden^is giving the Trillions of dollars of the “Inflation reduction act” money to billionaires to the same wealthy people of always. The good or bad thing is you get to pay by force though the years the money given to the rich.

Strong spending…Well when prices are high, you have to spend more to get the same item……………..So when prices are high, of course spending is going to be stronger……….And inflation can go to zero….But still prices are going to be high…Only if prices actually go back to pre super inflation levels will it help people…..Cooking oil I buy is like $3.97 a bottle at walmart for 48oz..It was $1.84 not long ago….Their lettuce has doubled in price…French fries and hamburger meat have almost doubled…Soft drinks have doubled..And it goes on and on……………Food prices need to DROP not just flatten out…

That GDP number is manipulated. At the same time that the GDP came out, a bunch of economic numbers came out and they were brutal. They all show weakness in the economy, but somehow, the GDP is increasing. I guess their CPI deflator is too low. The US dollar got hammered after all the data came out and investors figured that the GDP was a pig with lip stick on.
