The U.S. government has sold the Federal Helium Reserve, a massive underground stockpile based in Texas, that supplies up to 30% of the country’s helium. NBC’s Caroline Hopkins spoke with KXAN about why the health community is concerned and how helium impacts things like MRIs.

Sounds like Biden has made another (in a long list) of his disastrous and damaging decisions for the nation, especially the military. Out of artillery rounds, missiles, and other ammo (given away). Out of strategic reserve oil. Heck, Biden can turn the whole world into an Afghanistan pull-out disaster if our troops are ever really needed for OUR defense, such as at OUR border!
Privatization is the story of California. If you want to eliminate all government protections and regulations so private interests can make profits and overcompensate themselves at the expense of tax payers, leading to mass closures of prisons and widespread abuse and neglect of people with disabilities, privatize everything. Democrats love privatization, because they're really just Republicans in disguise.
We could run out of Helium, eventually we may have to get it from the moon. Tungsten is also in very small supply and we may run out.

thats ok, this goes hand in hand with immigration's SPECIAL PROGRAM to allow people from terror countries, up to 20,000 of them, to enter the USA from Feb 1 to March 30 with no visit to the american consulate to get the passport stamped prior to getting on the plane or boat. The cryogenics for MRI magnets have also undergone major improvements. Today's magnets do not use liquid nitrogen and most importantly have zero helium loss, thus needing no refill.

The problem with helium gas is its so light, it actually floats up and leaves the Earth into space where its actually abundant. Helium is a space gas.
The helium is not being destroyed. What's the problem? Hospitals are not wasting Helium. (Boiling point is 4.2 deg above absolute zero. ) It is a fallacy that some things has to be owned by government to be better utilized. I would say the reverse is true.

I remember when privatization of the mental healthcare system rolled out. No private infrastructure in place over night, state hospitals turning out thousands. It was nothing but a mess. Watch it all get sold for balloons penny’s on the dollar or some nonsense.
